Outcomes
What you'll master
TSC-I equips you to work with the body as a primary site of trauma resolution — pacing interventions to the client's nervous system and building resources that hold outside the therapy room.
- Bottom-up therapy approach
- Window of tolerance work
- Grounding and interoception practices
- Breathwork for autonomic regulation
- Supervised practice hours
Curriculum
Four modules. Somatic fluency.
Somatic Foundations
The body as an entry point to trauma material — interoception, proprioception, and the language of sensation.
Window of Tolerance
Titration, pendulation, and dual awareness. Practical protocols for expanding capacity without overwhelm.
Grounding, Breath & Interoception
Bottom-up techniques for regulation, felt-sense awareness, and building somatic resources with clients.
Supervised Practicum
Live, observed clinical hours with faculty consultation. Case formulation and integration into your practice.
Why TSC-I
Body-first clinical care
Every TSC-I module pairs somatic theory with supervised practice — so what you learn translates directly into safer, better-paced sessions.
Bottom-Up Approach
Body-first interventions that complement talk-based therapy for clients whose trauma sits below language.
Titration Toolkit
Structured protocols to work at the edge of the window of tolerance without inducing overwhelm or shutdown.
Supervised Practicum
Faculty-observed clinical hours with structured feedback on pacing, attunement, and somatic sequencing.
Cross-Modality Integration
Layer somatic skills onto EMDR, IFS, CBT, or relational therapy — a body-based upgrade to any modality.
From the community
"CPT-II reshaped how I approach complex cases. The neuroscience modules gave me real scientific grounding, and the practical work has changed outcomes for clients I had been stuck with for years."
"After fifteen years with combat veterans I thought I had the playbook. CPT-I opened up evidence-based approaches I had not considered. The EMDR integration alone transformed our outcomes."
Frequently asked
- Who are TPA certifications designed for?
- Our CPT track is built for licensed mental health clinicians and graduate students. TS-C is designed for allied professionals — educators, first responders, healthcare staff, and case managers — who need trauma-informed knowledge without crossing clinical boundaries.
- Are TPA programs APA approved?
- No. CE accreditation is in progress and we are not currently offering APA CE credit. Our curricula are evidence-based and designed for licensed mental health professionals; we will publish accreditation details as soon as they are formally in place.
- How long do certifications take to complete?
- CPT-I is a 40-hour program typically completed in 8–12 weeks. CPT-II runs 60 hours, CPT-III 80 hours, and PsyT is a 120-hour leadership track that most candidates complete across two to three semesters.
- Is coursework live or self-paced?
- Every certification blends self-paced video modules with live cohort case consultations and supervised practice sessions. Live sessions are scheduled across multiple time zones.
- Do these programs carry CE credit?
- Not at this time. CE accreditation is in progress. Each program documents its contact hours — 40 for CPT-I, 60 for CPT-II, 80 for CPT-III, 120 for PsyT, and 24 for TS-C — and you receive a certificate of completion recording them, but they are not currently APA or NBCC CE credit.
